Honestly, the pictures below don't do any justice to actually seeing all of it in person. Everything about St. Peter's is overwhelming...
This sculpture is HUGE. Amazingly huge...and entirely of marble.
Ermin and I decided to do ALL the steps up to St. Peter's cupola. We were cheap and saved 2 or 3 euros by not taking the elevator for the first 150-ish stairs (out of 500-ish stairs, total). We didn't realize that the stairways would have skewed walls and be sooooo narrow. Poor Ermin had to walk all crooked for a good portion of the stairs nearing the top. He looks miserable below. 
I managed to climb the stairs w/a smile on my face!
But the stair climb was absolutely worth it! Got the awesome views seen below...
Sadly, most of my pictures in St. Peter's came out blurry...such a disappointment.
